The man behind the Camera (Comm 450)

Today was another new experience because I helped run the master control room for the show Asbury View. The show today had the usual opening and Afternoon at the Movies parts, but this week they added in having a interview with me for resident to know about me and a interview Cyber Asbury. The things I learned is the pacing of how cameras switch between each other during any news show you see they have a few camera angles and scenes shifts talking about their show. The program they use to record the shows is called Tri-caster.
The show Asbury View is recording SD, Standard Definition, they haven’t made the transition to HD, High Definition, because of all the rewiring of the control room need to be replaced. So this reminds me to re-switch the settings in Premiere so when I edit the footage there will be visual size issue that can appear when you edit SD footage in HD.

Another snippet of information I learned about they studio is their setups for when they have meetings, class, etc. in the theater. Now they have up to five mics, which are all wireless, because it’s the amount of channels they have on the soundboard they can use and its should be noted that when work with audio feeds that each person will sound different requiring different amounts of volumes to make then voices sound fine during the recording.
Now when in the theater have to test the mics to make sure it all speakers will be heard in the and then judge if the levels are in decent sound range that’s not to quite to hear or loud for the Asbury residents so keeping in mind that residents are elders a lower sound range that’s still hearable is the best. So keeping in mind the people or audience is always a constant reminder when editing, recording videos and found it very present when working for Asbury.
